We are all a little weird and life’s a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in a mutual weirdness and call it love.

Life is going pretty spectacularly at the moment. There’s 16 days of school left (which is fabulous) and I’m so ready for summer. But who isn’t? Can’t wait to finally be free of everything. Except summer reading and band camp and working.. But still, looking forward to it! Oh everything is so great. Life is great. God is great. And that’s all there is to it.

Why do we use the term “universe” for this infinite yet expanding fabric our galaxies exist in? Uni is not the correct prefix for such a word. Multiverse is more like it. And why, out of every single universe, would there only be life in ours? You, right now, are one human on earth. One out of 6 billion. Consider there being humans, animals, plants, bacteria, everything we have here in another “parallel universe.” Oh yes, string theory has proven this concept. If you are one individual out of billions of UNIVERSES of individuals, how can you be so important? Truth is, you are. No, not just because of the songs you learned at church camp in pre-school. But in different ways than we think. Like snowflakes, no two people are the same. And in the end, think about it: we are all one part of the symphony. If the symphony is the function of life, we are the musicians, the creators of such a graceful thing. Each person has their own job to do and their own place in this world. So let that humble you. It blows my mind that God has done that; mapped out the lives of possibly trillions of people. Created a beautiful world for us to use as a playground. And gave us the power of love. Our God is an awesome God.
